no tsunami warnings - this quake was too deep for ocean floor upheaval - this one was 178 miles deep - the killer tsunami was only 18 miles deep and ruptured the seabed

No doubt....thank god! And thank you Dire for that post....I was wondering about the tsunami possibilty too. Glad to hear it's just a quake...now we just wait for damage reports....:(

No Tsunami Warnings issued for this event. Say's it was located too deep in the crust to generate a destructive tsunami, thank god. What disaster that would have been.
